History:
Great Plains Foot & Ankle Specialist originally started as North Platte Foot Clinic in 1991 by Dr. Clinton Schafer. Dr. Schafer was the first residency trained podiatrist in Western Nebraska. In 1993, Dr. Schafer was joined by Dr. Richard Raska and for 25 years, these two physicians offered the region exceptional foot and ankle services. We moved to our current location in 2010.
In 2015, North Platte Foot Clinic became Great Plains Foot &Ankle Specialist. This change was due to the addition of Dr. Josh Wray. Dr. Wray completed a 3-year foot and ankle residency with emphasis in rear foot and ankle reconstruction. This increased education and the expansion in Western and Central Nebraska has increased the foot and ankle services in this region.
Dr. Dusty Christensen joined the practice in 2019. He also completed 3-year foot and ankle residency with emphasis in rear foot and ankle reconstruction. He has started GPFAS services in Northern Kansas.
Today, the doctors and staff of Great Plains Foot &Ankle Specialists continue to take pride in providing the most up-to-date and passionate care for the foot and ankle.
